 Lockdown 4.0, from Friday, 28 May 2021

During this snap lockdown in Victoria, Fiona is only able to treat patients if there is a welfare issue, ie, the animal is in pain, showing a functional disability and/or has arthritis,

or if it requires timely intervention, eg for a working animal, or an injury sustained by an immature animal that could affect its growth

Her clinic at Ringwood Vet Clinic is closed for the duration, however, small animals who fall in this category can be seen at her clinics at Wattle Glen or Lower Plenty Vet Clinic (including those normally seen at Ringwood)

Horses to whom this applies can still be seen on site

Fiona is very happy to discuss with you whether your pet or horse can be treated at this time. Please contact her through the enquiry page on this website, or by leaving a voice message on her mobile phone

Stay safe & well!  🐾

Step 3 restrictions, from 28 October 2020

Fiona is now able to see ALL patients, including those for routine care and check ups!

She can see small animals at her clinic at Wattle Glen on Tuesday, Thursday & Friday mornings, and on Saturdays

She can also see small animals at her clinic at Lower Plenty Vet Clinic on a Thursday afternoon

Horses are treated on-site on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays

Also, there is great news for clients who live in the east or south-east suburbs of Melbourne! From December 1st, 2020 Fiona is returning to her practice at Ringwood Vet Clinic on a Tuesday afternoon. She is looking forward to catching up with existing Ringwood clients, and meeting many more!

Contact Fiona via this website's enquiry page, or by mobile, for any of these locations

Step 2 restrictions, 28 September 2020

Fiona is happy to say that she is now able to treat patients who fall under certain criteria.

If there is a welfare issue, ie, the animal is in pain, showing a functional disability and/or has arthritis,

or if it requires timely intervention, eg for a working animal, or an injury sustained by an immature animal that could affect its growth,

At present, all small animals (dogs, cats etc) are being seen at Lower Plenty Vet Clinic, unless a home visit is essential.

Horses are being seen on site, as usual, with social distancing as much as is safe and masks to be worn by both the client/handler and Fiona.

The Wattle Glen clinic will hopefully open soon, although it is still unclear when practitioners will be able to work from non commercial premises.

The practice at Ringwood Vet Clinic remains closed for the time being. There is no date for reopening at the moment, but Fiona will give as much notice as possible when she is informed.

Fiona is very happy to discuss any concerns you have about your horse or pet. If she can't help you at the moment, she will advise you on how to find someone who can.

Stage 4 restrictions, August 2020

Unfortunately, Fiona is unable to see patients from the start of the increased restrictions on businesses on the 6th of August for 6 weeks

By not working, clients will not be travelling to see her and she will not be travelling to horse properties, which will hopefully assist in the reduction of COVID-19 cases in Melbourne and Victoria.

She is very sorry that she is unable to continue the treatment programs in place for her patients, but will pick up again at the end of stage 4.

If you are concerned that your pet or horse is in pain, or their condition is worsening, then please contact your vet. They are still working and available for consultation.

If you would like to talk with Fiona regarding your concerns, please send her an enquiry and she will be happy to contact you

Stay well, and please reach out if you are struggling in any way

 COVID-19 Update, April 2020

Fiona would like to assure her clients (and potential clients) that she is still able to work, with some restrictions, at two of her small animal clinics (Wattle Glen & Lower Plenty) and on equine patients. Unfortunately, she has recently had to stop working at Ringwood Vet Clinic. She will resume her practice there once restrictions are lifted. Ringwood clients can be seen at the other two locations if required.

Social distancing, increased sanitising and the use of gloves during treatments are all being adhered to, in a concerted effort to keep everyone as safe as possible, whilst still providing a service to reduce pain and increase function for pets and horses.

If there are any concerns about how the risks are being managed, or if clients are at increased risk due to their age or poor health / immunity, then please contact Fiona. She is very happy to discuss these issues and work out the best way forward.

Stay well!

Melbourne Gold Rush 2019

On Sunday, 8th September, 2019, Fiona was fortunate to be included in this fantastic event at the State Dog Centre (KCC Park), Skye, Victoria.

Around 750 golden retrievers and their people gathered together on a cold, wet day. Fiona was holding a chiropractic information and spinal screening stall, and managed to check around 30 dogs before the inclement weather forced an early finish.

The event raised over $10,000 for Golden Retriever Rescue and, although the numbers fell a little short of the 991 that was needed to break the world record for the greatest number of goldies in one place, Fiona will certainly be there next year to see if they break it in 2020!

Talk to the Schnauzer Club of Victoria

On the 26th November, 2017 Fiona gave a talk on animal chiropractic to the wonderful members of the Schnauzer Club of Victoria at their Christmas get-together. She got a very warm and friendly welcome from the schnauzers and their people and ended the afternoon by judging the best dressed dog....

 Lower Plenty Clinic Temporarily Closed

Sadly, the Thursday afternoon animal chiropractic clinic has been suspended for now. New and existing clients in the area are invited to attend Fiona's clinic in either Wattle Glen or Ringwood.

Dogapalooza Melbourne, 2015

Fiona was at this great music event for dog lovers, on Sunday, 27th September in Burnley Park, Yarra Boulevard, Burnley. It was a great fundraiser for Oscar's Law, with all tickets sold before the event. There was music from, amongst others, Tash Sultana & Harrison Storm, and food and dog-related stalls and services.

Fiona provided information and advice and, for a donation to Oscar's Law, carried out spinal screenings for around thirty owners who wanted their dogs' backs checked at the event.

2015 Nillumbik Pet Expo

Fiona has been a regular stallholder at the Nillumbik Pet Expo for many years, and this year was no exception. Held by Nillumbik Shire Council in Diamond Creek, on Sunday, 25th October it was a free event that aims to promote responsible pet ownership. Aswell as Fiona's animal chiropractic stand (offering advice and free spinal screens for all pets presented), there were dog obedience events, lure coursing that you could try out with your dog, pony rides, pet fancy dress competitions, and more...

Fiona enjoyed meeting old friends there...and making new ones.

New Small Animal Clinic in Ringwood

On the 5th October, 2015 Fiona started a small animal clinic at Ringwood Vet Clinic on Monday afternoons and Thursday mornings. Fiona is excited to join the team at Ringwood Vet Clinic and is looking forward to making animal chiropractic more available to people in the area. The location of the clinic is ideal for clients coming from the direction of the City or from the eastern / south eastern suburbs, as it is just off the Eastern Freeway and Eastlink at

1, Maroondah Hwy, Ringwood.

Free spinal screens are available at this venue for a limited period. Contact Fiona to enquire about a free screen or book an appointment for a consultation.
